Electro-pneumatic atomizer

The pneumatic atomizers mix the compressed air (or other gases) with the liquid to be sprayed, producing a very fine spray mist.

The spray combination is composed of a liquid nozzle and an air nozzle which determine the different flow rates and shapes of the jet as indicated on the following table.

In this section, you can find information about; our SpeedyJet electric spray gun and our new SJSG spray gun for automatic atomization with a control panel.

The SpeedyJet is suitable for fast production lines as it operates at up to 3000 cycles per minute; on the other hand, the new SJSG atomizer increases the speed to 4500 cycles per minute.

Droplet size (atomization)

The major factors affecting droplet size are the capacity, the pressure and the spray pattern. Usually an increase of the capacity, under the same conditions of pressure, produces larger droplet sizes.

The increase of the pressure re-duces the droplet sizes, as well as the increase of the spray angle.
Air atomizing nozzles pro-duce the smallest droplet sizes, full cone nozzles produce the largest droplet sizes. For every spray pattern, the table shows the median droplet sizes relative to the minimum and maximum capacity values, with a pressure of 3 bar.
