Characteristics of the Pneumatic Atomizer

The air atomizing nozzles mix compressed air (or other gas) with the liquid to spray allowing the finest spray atomization.
The spray set-ups consist in a combination of air cap and fluid cap that determine capacities and spray patterns, as shown in the tabulations that follow. Each spray set-up can be assembled with the different following nozzle bodies and spray guns.

Materials: nichel plated brass, stainless steel
AISI 303.
On request AISI 316 – Lucite.
Thread connection (BSPT).

• Air automizing nozzles type E
• Automatic spray type P

Mixing typologies

Internal mixing

The liquid is combined with the air inside the nozzle to produce a perfect spray atomization.
The air and liquid pressures are directly related to each other and influence the spray type. Many choices of spray are available:
• Full cone
• Hollow cone
• Flat jet
The feed is by pressure, by gravity or by Venturi’s effect.

Outside mixing

The air-liquid mixes outside the nozzle. The air and liquid pressure are not so directly related as those in the internai mixing nozzle. This type of nozzle is suitable in application with high viscous fluid, thick fluid, or with very small solid particles.
