Automatic spray guns

The PA automatic spray guns are assembled with all the spray set-ups listed on the catalogue and allow to control on-off liquid operation, through an internal air cylinder, over 100 cycles per minute.
They feature two inlets ø 1/4 (F) BSP for air and liquid to spray and two connections ø 1/8 BSP for on-off pilot air cylinder operations (choose the more convenient for the assembly).

Available types are:

Types

PA1

PA1 is the standard model and makes on-off spray operations.
PA3

The functions are the same as those of PA1 one but with compact dimensions and with all 1/8” BSP connections.
PA1-RA

Model with shut-off needle stroke adjustment to reduce time of spray operations (for very quick operations).
PA1-CR

Model with heated chamber for spraying very dense liquids difficult to atomize at room temperature.
PA3-P

Model with extension 300 mm. for applications in which the spray is far from gun body.
PAA1

The operation is like PA1 gun but equipped for the automatic cleaning of the orifice. It is suitable where contaminants in the liquid may cause blockages.
PAA3

The operation is like PA3 gun but equipped for the automatic cleaning of the orifice. It is suitable where contaminants in the liquid may cause blockages.
PA2

The operation is like PA1 gun. It permits to spray at intermittence using with hydraulic nozzles type C1 -CX- DH - BG to maximum flow rate of 1,3 lt/min at 3 bar (only fluid without the help of compressed air).
PA4

The operation is like PA3 gun. It permits to spray at intermittence using with hydraulic nozzles type C1 - CX - DH - BG maximum flow rate of 1,3 lt/min at 3 bar (only fluid without the help of compressed air).
*How to order: spray gun code + set-up chosen on the following pages: E.g. PA1-B2-P11 nickel plated brass

Outline scheme
For all spray combinations available with air atomizing nozzles and automatic spray guns refer to the nozzles tables showed on catalogue Eurospray.

PA5 automatic spray guns
The PA5 atomizing gun can spray both full cone and flat jet by adjusting the retainer at the end of the nozzle.
The atomizing gun PA5, is nickel plated aluminium made, as well as its air nozzle, while the metal regulating rings and the inner needle are constructed in brass.
The seals and packing are in Viton.
The gun has an inlet for liquid with 1/8” BSP thread and an inlet for air with 1/8” BSP thread.
An auxiliary inlet for air (marked with capital letter A) is available and it should be connected and supplied separately from mixing air inlet.
Auxiliary air inlet is useful for air spraying only: to clean the area before treatment with liquid or to accelerate drying process after atomization with the fluid.
There are two threaded connections M8 (1) both side of the body for mounting and fixing of the gun.

Air nozzle is placed frontally on the body gun and could be settled in two positions:
1 - to obtain flat spray (I)
2 - to obtain full cone spray (0)

To select one of them it is necessary to turn the brass retainer, giving rotation 180° to the nozzle and following references marked on its top and on the body of gun, than ring has to be tightened again after having fixed its position so after selection of desired spray pattern.

Hand grip for liquid regulation is placed on the rear part of the body gun Hand grip could be completely opened; in this case maximum spray capacity when liquid and air pressure are connected and operating is achieved, or it could be partially or completely closed so capacity will be reduced or atomisation does not occur.
In this position orifice (ø mm 2) can be cleaned out.

Droplet size could be adjusted and modified till about 10 micron by rotating the screw for regulation.
Two regulating screws operate for mixing air apart for the auxiliary air and they regulate inlet air supply.

Capacities
The innumerable range of variations for all components: liquid inlet (besides any variation of pressure in plant supply), quantity of mixing air supply in the installation and made by the screws for regulation and hand grip placed on the nozzle, makes capacity range and droplet size diameters on cone and flat spray extremely wide.

Capacity could be near to 0 Lt/h with screw for needle regulation completely closed, and by adjusting air pressure this nozzle produces fog with small droplets, or a jet with bigger ones.

Maximum capacity with water at 4 bar, air at 4 bar and regulating hand grip opened is about 195Lt/h with a fine atomization.
See table below as an example of possible capacities range.
